Where REAL Music Talks
‘Eyes Off The Prize’ By Victoria Moralez
Words: A. Murray.
Swedish Pop has a new name. Furthermore, Victoria Moralez is sending a shockwave across the pop space with her latest release ‘Eyes Off The Prize’, and it does not take a genius to figure out why.
‘Eyes Off The Prize’ is an audacious track which proves the singer’s ability to tell a compelling story. So much so, it grips from the get-go, and the music which accompanies her charming vocal is awe-inspiring. Kicking off the piece is a tapping beat hit, it does not offer too much to the imagination, but it gets the blood pumping with its nerve-racking quality.
Vocally, Victoria Moralez does not disappoint. She opens with a divine quality with her singing softly, and her gentle approach is comforting. Victoria reminds me of some of the greats in pop but yet she also brings a unique quality which leaves a long-lasting impression. In the verse, Victoria stays away from an orthodox structure, and she comes and goes with her outlining her message conspicuously.
The chorus is very similar to the verse but yet it picks up the pace slightly, and a guitar lead takes a focal position with it echoing out in bold stereo effect. The piano lead takes an avant-garde approach also. As a result, I doubt you will find anything else similar in the modern industry.
Towards the end, the arrangement takes a sudden twist. Victoria lends another angelic vocal in the bridge, and a new set of sounds pop out before the track concludes triumphantly with the beat driving the record forward to the finish.
