Thomas Cole

The new EP by Thomas Cole called “Watch Me”, is just what I needed! Thomas has entered a new era with his audacious, rebellious energy and very intimate songs. Emotion, empowerment, and a little vulnerability abound in the three distinct yet unified tunes of the EP and it is easy to connect with Thomas through his relatable stories.

I was drawn to the title song, “Watch Me” right away. Thomas’s vocals capture every phrase with unflinching assurance. Then “Miserable Fck” comes in. Wonderful. This song seems like a cathartic scream caught on music. The combination of rock and electrical components gives great grit and power. Also, I couldn’t help but recall times in my own life when I have felt like screaming the same emotions.

“Shut Up & Listen” balances the EP. From the beginning, its rhythm had me nodding along, and I related to the need to be heard. It’s defiant and empowering!
