Where REAL Music Talks
‘I Don’t Care’ Ervin Munir
Words: A. Murray.
Ervin Munir has a knack for writing songs that sound simple on the surface but end up living in your head for days. His new single “I Don’t Care,” out now, does exactly that. It’s a folk track with a message about going your own way, and the Norfolk musician delivers it without being preachy or heavy-handed.

The melody catches you first. It’s one of those tunes that feels familiar even on the first listen, built around acoustic guitar, piano, and drums that keep everything moving forward. Munir’s voice has this easygoing quality that makes the whole thing feel like a conversation rather than a lecture. When the chorus comes in with those layered harmonies, the song opens up in a way that feels natural, not forced.
There’s a guitar solo midway through that actually adds something to the track instead of just filling space. Producer Aeron Z Jones clearly knows how to let a song breathe. The production is clean enough to sound professional but rough enough around the edges to keep that personal, homemade folk feel intact.
What works about “I Don’t Care” is that Munir doesn’t overcomplicate his point. He’s singing about independence and self-determination, themes that could easily veer into cliché territory, but he keeps it grounded. The instrumentation supports the message without overwhelming it.
