‘I’m On The Upside’ Vinyl Floor
Words: A. Murray.
Copenhagen rock duo Vinyl Floor are back and feeling absolutely alive with their new single “I’m on the Upside.” Out now on Karmanian Records, this track is the kind of song that makes you roll the windows down, hit the road, and let the sun hit your face.
Drummer Daniel Pedersen takes the lead vocals this time, and it’s a joy to hear him telling his own story, warm, honest, and full of personality. With Jakob Gulbrandt Koldenborg holding down the bass and some brilliant guitar work from Daniel Hecht and Thomas Charlie Pedersen, the song radiates energy without ever feeling forced.

There’s a retro charm to it, with rich harmonies, lively drums, and that perfectly “lived-in” feel that makes Vinyl Floor’s music so instantly likable. Lyrically, it’s about curiosity, perspective, and the simple satisfaction of doing life your way, upbeat, genuine, and quietly empowering.
“I’m on the Upside” proves that after nearly two decades and six albums, Vinyl Floor still know how to make rock feel both classic and fresh. It’s impossible not to smile while listening.
