‘Is This Love’ GrooveGalore MuziK

GrooveGalore MuziK just did something unexpected with Whitesnake’s “Is This Love,” coming out July 24th. I wasn’t sure how a reggae version of this classic would sound, but it actually works.
Paul “GrooveGalore” Kastick took David Coverdale’s 1987 hit and gave it this Caribbean twist that caught me off guard. The reggae rhythms blend with the rock elements in a way that feels natural, not forced.
KASTICK handles the lead vocals with real conviction, while Cen’C Love’s harmonies add depth to the whole track. You can hear everything from Bob Marley to Van Halen influencing the sound, which sounds weird on paper but makes sense when you listen.
The production keeps the energy of the original while making it something completely different. Kastick plays multiple instruments throughout, and Josh Gold’s mix at The Basement Studio gives it a clean finish without overpolishing it.
What I like most is that they didn’t just slap some reggae drums on the original and call it done. This feels like they actually reimagined the song from the ground up while still respecting what made it special in the first place.
It’s refreshing to hear someone take a real risk with a cover instead of playing it safe.
