The alliance between Talent Is Timeless and Universal Audio, a world leader in the production of professional audio recording hardware and software, represents a major step forward for composers beyond the age of 50. As a sponsor of the 2023 Talent Is Timeless songwriting competition, Universal Audio will provide three of their Volt 2 Studio Packages to the three winners.

With a stellar judging panel that includes Ian Matthews of Kasabian, a British rock band famed for their high-energy live shows and smash albums like “Empire” and “West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum,” the 2023 tournament promises to be the most successful to date. Judging the competition will be Grammy-winning folk singer-songwriter Judy Collins, British folk singer-songwriter Ralph McTell, and many other luminaries from the music industry.

In 2020, a group calling themselves Talent Is Timeless set out to create a spotlight for the many musicians above the age of 50 who were still making significant contributions to the business. Since its inception, the organization’s goal has been to provide a welcoming environment for established musicians through activities like songwriting contests and other events.
