I’ve been waiting for an artist like barDe for a while. As someone who has been ghosted more times than I care to admit, I need this song in my life immediately although it drops on 25th July.
The preview clips I’ve heard sound amazing. That 90s electric guitar sound mixed with her raw vocals feels like she crawled inside my brain and turned all my messy emotions into music. It’s giving me major Fiona Apple vibes but with this modern edge that hits different when you’re scrolling through your ex’s Instagram at 2am.
What I love about barDe is that she’s not trying to make heartbreak pretty. We’ve all been there, right? That moment when someone just vanishes from your life and you’re left wondering if you imagined the whole thing. She’s taking all that confusion and anger and turning it into something you can actually dance to.
Can’t wait to ugly cry to this in my car.
